I was only on a horse once, back in 1977, and almost fell off twice
just on a walk. I decided then, i would take their pictures, not ride
them.
A mule stepped on my foot once. As far as I'm concerned, I'm entitled to
include "equestrian experience" on my resume! ;-D

Thanks Ann.
I've known that young girl since she was about 4 or 5. Her parents run
a horse farm and she rides a LOT.
She is a good rider and i try and get a few photos of her every show, if i can.

Thanks Bob.
Jumper day is better for these side shots, as the jumps are higher and
wider. This is during the "Trillium Jumper" division, the highest the
jumps are set for the day.
Needless to say, the longer the hang time, the easier it is for me.:-)

I really like #7913 and #7906 (very well timed!).
I've ridden a horse only once in my life and I would be absolutely
terrified of anything like this
well at least one is artistic :-)
I enjoy slideshowing the jumping... as I would enjoy it IRL
but aside from the reportage , I found this shot very striking...

nice if you were centering a story around her...

Dave,
Side shots of them jumping are especially nice.
The traditional shots of horse and rider at the start of the jump are fine,
but the horse mid-jump has beautiful lines.
