If they don't mind using filters in stead of a conversion, the istD
and R72 filter worked well. Sensitive to IR so shorter exposure times
are available.
I never had much luck with my K10D, to long exposures.
I know a lot of Nikon D70's get converted. Seems a good camera to do
that to, from what

I think the *ist-D is supposed to have a pretty good IR response without
any modification. I know most others need the low pass filter removed
or altered or some such...
(I have a D and I've never tired it in an IR mode so I;m only sayiin').
