Eric,
The manual selection (progression) of the shutter speeds from 1
second are 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 15, 20, and 30 seconds.
With both F and FA lenses the selected aperture apears in the
viewfinder and is imprinted. And your understanding of selecting aperture
priority mode is correct.
