Hi David ...hey all came up just fine - quickly (considering my dial-up
connection) and all the links worked.

The problem was definitely my computer.
Last night (well, early this morning) the problem was still occurring

there was nothing wrong with the internet connection.
I then checked the "Optimization Map" & it turned out all my h
Thanks Dave.
I'm pretty sure the problem is with my computer. The company I work
for uses the same ISP & I can see all my pages without any trouble.
Now I just have to figure out what the problem is.

Thanks for that Frank.
Yeah, I just randomly grabbed some links that I knew had worked in the past.
Thanks also for your comment on the boat shot. Taken with the 77 Ltd.
on a test drive the day I got it. I printed that one up big as it's
one of my favorites.

The first took a couple of seconds to start loading. The rest were
virtually instant.
FWIW I occasionally have weird problems with my site as well, but I
think that problem is with my computer as it's pretty inconsistent.

Well it doesn't demand it. I just lost patience uploading &
downloading photos on dial-up ;-).
I live in a pretty old neighborhood and the telephone lines are a bit
past their prime. On dial-up I was averaging about 25k, less if it
rained.
That's my excuse & I'm sticking to it.

The first 3 took maybe 3-4 seconds to download, the
fourth came up almost instantly (using my T10
connection at work). Nice pix, too!

Why would "going digital" demand a DSL connection any more than when using
film?

Considering my dialup account, and the fact that I'm on the other side

Thanks Shel.
As I read your response I just thought of another hidden cost of going
digital. ADSL connection. I was quite happy with dial-up until I got
my D ;-)
