If you want a real good mouse, get the Logitech MX 1000 Laser.
It is much better than any other mouse I have ever used/tried,
including the older Logitech MX series (which isn't bad either).
This mouse works with zero problems on all surfaces I have tried
and the resolution is incredible.

CUTE!
I have actually found that the back of a legal pad works pretty good with
optical mice, BTW.

Yeah I have an optical at the moment (I admit I'm still using the Apple
mouse that came with my G5).

I have used two brands of mice, Genius and Logitech. After trying out
the Logitech, I threw the Genius into the closet for backup only. Both
were the normal optical models, with scroll wheel but without fancy

something. I can move the c

I managed to bend mine today so I might have to look at a new one, too

It still works, but is a bit harder to "click" and it's much harder to
keep the button held down while lifting it off the page.

It's a Mitsumi optical wheel mouse. I never bought a mouse before
(hard to

Shel,
I don't like to use a computer rodents, and
recommend getting a Kensington track ball.
The big one.
Roughly $80 to $100.
Far easier to use.
Small footprint.
Precise.
And great for playing Descent (Yes, I know it's old, but it's fun) or any
other 3-d game.
Sincerely,

Hi Shel, I use a wireless keyboard and mouse on all of my machines.
Wouldn't go back to wired again.
When I need some room I just set them anywhere out of the way,
no tangles to worry about.
I can also go to "Lazy Mode" and lean back in my chair with the
kybd in my lap without dragging my coffe cup
