Yeah, the background haze is troublesome and the reason this version was not
included on my site. I wish for a PP haze filter. =)
I do, however, feel the foreground is considerably more dramatic.

As presented, I think the tone scale looks too compressed. It has a
look that verges on conspicuous HDR. Not overly conspicuous, but imo
firmly in the realm of taste for tonemapping effects.
The yellows pops very nicely, but the greens look very grayish and
murky on my screen.

I think its weaknesses are also its strengths here.
For me, it has a feeling of transitioning from an accentuated almost
hyper-real foreground, into what could be an impressionistic pain
