It works well as an abstract
Only suggestion I'd make is to put a 2 or 3 pixel wide border around the image
to set it off.

Actually a calm, relaxing image. Easy to view. IMO, however, it's sort
of 'empty' and in need of an anchor.

As I looked at this picture and did as you said, I could almost feel
myself back in the boat. It is very soothing.
