There is another advantage to zooms which no-one has mentioned yet. I can buy a 100-300mm constant F4, or I can buy a 100mm, 200mm and 300mm prime and get a divorce thrown in! Seriously, getting permission for one expensive zoom is much easier than for 3 primes!!! - This message is from the Pent
