Hello J.C. O'Connell It's an M lens. Meaning manual setting the aperture - F.5.6- f 45. It's a spring aperture, so I still have open aperture fokusing. No electrical contacts like an A-lens. Manual focus too. I use it utilizing the "green button" for measuring light (no open aperture metering).
