If you have enough DOF, bokeh is not an issue. <Grin>

When you say "an order of magnitude", do you mean that you can enlarge 35mm
ten times larger than a digital image?

  Well, not necessarily. DOF also depends on COC (circle of
  confusion), which is inverse proportional to resolution. Hence,
  together with future higher resolution, we will see today's
  amazing DOF dropping towards... 35mm standards.

  It amazes me how many see film and digital as comparable - maybe
  because people look at proofs of the same size. Still, let's not
  forget film can be enlarged an order of magnitude further, so the
  DOF is the price we pay for more detail, bigger enlargements.
