Just beware that the S-HMC CPL does not have front thread, only the Pro1 does (also S-HMC, but thinner rim). Pro1 UV is S-HMC with thinner glass and 3mm rim, you might save quite a bit but using the S-HMC UV which has 5mm rim and regular thickness glass (more protection I guess). Alan Chan http

I commonly have a Pentax UV filter on my DA 16-45 and for the recent Pinnacles pictures that I showed, I used a Cokin Circular polarizer that was fitted into a P-series holder that I had cut the extra filter holders off. I saw no vignetting with that rig. -- Best regards, Bruce Sunday, Decembe

i frequently stack B+W neutral density filters with a Hoya HMC circular polarizer on my DA 16-45/4 at the wide end with no vignetting. on occasion, i have stacked three filters on the DA 16-45/4. none of my filters are the wide angle versions. none of my wide lenses that take filters are wide enoug
