The Sigma 500 Super is compatible with the K10D but not particularly
reliable. The Pentax AF 540 FGZ is a solid performer. An external
battery pack is also available.

I have used my twice-updated Sigma on my K10D,
on-camera and wirelessly, without problems so far.
