I have ordered a 58 - 49 mm reverse ring from ebay / china for 3
euros. That should fit a M 50/1.7. The flash has a 58 mm filter thread

Thanks. Yes most likely winged aphids. They have the typical tubes on
the back of the abdomen. from wikipedia: "When host plant quality
becomes poor or conditions become crowded, some aphid species produce
winged offspring, "alates", that can disperse to other food sources."

They look like winged aphids.
For my snow crystal shots I usually do between 2x and 4x, but still
hesitate to call it microscope... :-)
