Hi,

I've come late to this thread, and missed some of the altered images
that people put up. Any chance of a repeat, please?

Having said that, surely the www if it's anything is a document
sharing system. Certainly that was what Tim Berners-Lee intended,
according to his book 'Weaving the Web'. So although there may be a
breach of etiquette involved in linking without permission, it can
hardly be classed as a venal sin or a crime, and as far as I know he's
not passing it off as his own work, and hasn't copied it. It seems to
me that this is exactly what the www is for.

Has everybody here always obtained permission before putting a link in
a website or other public document, such as an email to a discussion
group that they know will be archived and publicly accessible?

btw Shel, how did you find out about all those "delicious" images? What
have you been up to? <VBG>
