Hi,

all photo mailing lists have the same threads, only the brand names
are changed, so perhaps somebody should submit an rfc to the w3c so
that the threads are standardised across all lists. In fact, the
opinions are also all the same, and there are exactly 3 for each
thread. So communication can be greatly simplified by merely quoting
the thread ID, the opinion number and the list's brand name (the lists
could all be handled by one server). The rfc should also contain a
list of the flame wars and insults, which are also all the same
everywhere, except when Suda Mafud (or one of his avatars) is around.
In this case a random abuse generating engine (RAGE) is required,
with the 'imagination' setting on MAX and syntax set to MANGLE.

On joining each mailing list a subscriber can then pick the threads
that interest him/her, and choose an opinion from the list. Then they
can go out and take photographs, happy in the knowledge that the
server is chattering away to itself unattended and the subscriber is
participating fully in the ongoing discourse. For time to time, on
birthdays, holidays and so on, subscribers can log in change their
opinions in such a way that they conpletely contradict what was posted
on their behalf a few days earlier.
