Thanks, Paul.
Yes, unfortunately, the Redbud lost its main two lower branches in a
windstorm. Its wood seems to be even more brittle than dogwood. I planted
this particular tree quite some time ago, in a location where another tree
had recently died, so I suspect the soil and light conditions
On my morning walk, I was admiring my neighbor's Redbud tree, and it got me
to wondering why I hadn't seen the one I planted a couple of decades ago.
When I got back to my front yard, I looked up, and there it was. It had

One of the many things that I enjoy about the K-70 is the ability to
manipulate the image and see the result on the LED screen. I would
rather get the image that I want in-camera than muck

I had to get into a crossover on an interstate to get the shot I wanted.
My one redbud has not yet burst into bloom.
I have one at the house but it is old and slowly dying.

Sunday I was headed to a job site and stopped for a quick shot of some
redbud. It was slightly past its peak but still attractive. When I see
that wash of color along the roadsides I know that it is well and truly
spring.

My redbud is really beautiful this year, but it is difficult to
photograph. It is much too tall, and the individual buds much to small to
allow a good image of the entire tree or a single bud. So, I compromised:

Interesting set - at a glance I'd choose #3 or #4 - the clear patch in
the background being the problem with them. #4 without the stone - or
whatever it is - would be my favorite.

Probably No.4, mainly because the background is less distracting, but
it's difficult without being able to get the images side by side for

Right hand on the mouse button (or thumb on the trackpad clicker) and
Command+W on the keyboard. Simple but effective.

It's unlikely that I or anyone else will make a comparison if we can't
easily jump around. Some means of navigation is called for.
