Thanks Rob... No I haven't attempted to adjust brightness yet... that would be cheating wouldn't it? ;)

Back beating the same old horse... one of the reasons I'm hesitant to do adjustments is I often can't clearly remember the scene so I don't know if my adjustment becomes a 'correction' as opposed to an 'enhancement'.

For instance, I have some storm/rainbow shots that I recently took with the *istD. They look pretty washed out, not as I remember seeing them. When I do an auto-levels on them in Photoshop, man it makes a big difference and is more what I remember. But the difference is so huge and the results so much better that I feel guilty accepting the change... Any coments on this?

Very nicely executed, the only improvement it may have benefited from would
have been a little light reflected on the birds underside, have you tried
lightening it up a little in PS?
