In general the Rikenon / Sears 50mm F2 lenses were single coated, I
believe they have a yellowish cast to the coating. The 50mm F1.7 & F1.4
lenses are multi-coated and have a purple cast to the coating.
For my own use I've broken down the Rikenon / Sears lenses in the
following patterns -
I recently ordered a Sears Auto 1.7 MC lens. I've also seen a Sears Auto 1.4 MC
lens. Neither has a P (program) setting.
I know that these are made by Rikenon. My question is, are these multicoated
versions of the XR 50mm lenses (which were single coated)? Or non-P versions of
the Rikenon P len
