distract AF a lot.
In these situations I usually sends some warm thoughts to Pentax for
the Quich Shift feature. The combination of AF and QS gives me the
best of both worlds. Still learning to use it though ...

K-500/4,5. It is good fully open, and very good at f:5,6.
I've used it with the Pentax 1,7x AF TC. That combo

The 300/4 will be available any day now. In a medium to long zoom,
you'll soon have the DA* 60-250. Either lens should be superior to
the Sigma.
Personally, after owning a couple of their lenses and their flash I
won't buy anything Sigma makes. But that's just me.

Is it available yet? I have read some preliminary reports about it

is a fine performer.
