It popped up when I was testing this new computer, "Are you sure you want to open 28 files?". There was definitely an incredulous tone to it.
I figured, "Sure I will go get a cup of coffee while you are loading them", and hit "Yes". No coffee, they just all popped up in Camera Raw in less than a second. So I clicked "Select all" and adjusted the exposure and color temp, then hit enter. Now I bet you are thinking I am going to say they all changed immediately; you are wrong. It took 10-15 seconds to do them all. Then I hit "Open"; and, ZAP, there they were in Photoshop. Why didn't someone tell me my old computer was so slow? This new one is not bleeding edge by any means, it is basically two year old mid-range workstation tech. A new high end desktop like Mark said he is getting is, I think, faster. But then I have less than $500 in it, only a bit more than I spent building the old one, less if you figure for loss of buying power. And maybe the best thing is there is lots of room for upgrading. I guess it was worth three months of eating oatmeal and rice, and selling off stuff like my ME Super to build it. -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
