Download OpenOffice. It's free, good, and does pretty much everything MS
Office does, including reading much more complicated spreadsheets than
this one.
And I know complicated spreadsheets!

I normally run 10.4.2 on desktop and laptop, but I booted up 10.3.9 I
have on an external drive with the laptop and checked there too. No
problems.
What browser did you use to download the file?
