When I got up I went into the kitchen: I saw these flowers growing on my

I like the second one a bit more - it looks like a scene from the
Caribbean - palms, islands and so on ;-)
Winter is here.
Last night the temperature droped to app. - 18 degrees where I live
(Denmark).
Less than 50 km away they did measure temperatures of -27 degrees.
When I got up I went into the kitchen: I saw these flowers growing on my

Beautiful, Jens! I particularly like the first one,
whose sweeping lines give a nice sense of motion.
The second is more static and could use a little more
brightness and contrast, I think.
