That´s not entirely correct either. My winder ME II works like this: in single shot 
mode when you press the winder release the shutter will fire and film is wound on 
immediately. If you press the camera release the shutter will fire but the winder will 
not wind. If you now press the winder release the winder will wind but not fire the 
shutter.
