Hi Mark, AFAIK, most laptops also have the firewire / IEEE1394/ i-link interface! (At least, mine has) I also spent 10 eurobucks on a PCMCIA/CF adaptor, but it's not worth it, firewire absolutely beats it! Although it was 40,- and not 6,- it's absolutely worth it, for me. Sometimes the pricetag

Hi! Has anybody hooked up an *istD to a win98SE PC? Seen some threads about win98 not supporting USB fully but win98SE should work. Have bought myself a used laptop with win98SE. It wants me to insert a driver for the camera when I connect it to the USB-port :( /Peter

I use Windows 98 SE, but have had to kludge together a workaround to get images into it. W98SE is supposed to be able to read an external drive. Some installations do. Others (like mine) have trouble. Still, I have gotten it to work. You can't connect the *ist D directly to the PC. Pentax
