My son has expressed an interest in photography but I am reluctant to let him borrow my good gear. If you let him use anything except an LX (with the waist-level finder) and the 50mm/f1.2 he'll be ruined as a photographer. Sell all your own gear, if necessary, to do right by your son. - This
