In my viewfinder the red x is lit and a green is lit. The green LED that is lit seems useless because it is telling you which speed to use for a proper exposure (without flash), when it is going to use 1/75 flash sync anyway (unless you use slow speed sync). If you disconnect the sync cord, does a green LED light up (or yellow)?
