Thanks, Christine. It was a dismal morning (6:30 AM), overcast with
storm clouds threatening. There were some temporary patches of blue
that I could use as background for some of the balloons in the air,
but this monster never left the ground. I shall try to brighten it up
a bit.

1998-1999. I went there on the night with the glowing balloons

The New Jersey Festival of Ballooning takes place at a small airport
three miles from our home. For the part three years, I have had other
commitments on the weekend of the Festival, which draws 50,000
