As you may already know Goerz was one of the companies which merged to
found Zeiss-Ikon in 1926. Various makers cameras continued to be sold
but under the Zeiss-Ikon name. You might want to try posting to the Zeiss
Ikon Collectors group on yahoo - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ZICG/

I posted a question there about the 1927 Zeiss Cocarette I picked up
and received helpful answers. That camera had an unusual way of loading
the film and I was misloading it. The camera  produces 6x9cm negatives (on
120) but I was getting 4x9cm negatives - until I learnt my mistake.

Pacific Rim Cameras have an excellent referenc to the various Zeiss
models which may help you identify exactly what you've got.
