In the January/February, 1997 issue of ARCHAEOLOGY magazine, there is an article by Jeannine Davis-Kimball titled "Warrior Women of the Eurasian Steppes." The evidence from new archaeological digs finds that many women were buried as warriors, with weapons and trappings of war. The author hypothesizes that the Amazon women of Greek mythology may have been more real than mythical. maggie coleman [EMAIL PROTECTED]
