As I predicted, NATO is bombing media targets now but without
giving any ludicrous justifications
as they had done previously. Originally NATO floated an Orwellian
balloon. They were bombing Serb media in order to give the Serbs
access to information. Of course the information was NATO
propoganda via VOA and Radio Free Europe et al. Deprive people of
information so that they can have information. This fits in with
bombing for peace no doubt. Now they bomb even without an
Orwellian fig leaf to cover their ass.

<BOD>Washington: NATO's military commander, US Army General Wesley Clark, appears to
have prevailed in a debate among alliance members over whether to target television
and radio broadcasting facilities in Serbia. <P>
The French and Italian governments, among others, had blocked requests by the US and
other more aggressive members of NATO's military command to bomb some central Serb
broadcasting facilities. But in recent days, officials said, they have lifted those
objections. <P>
Since the air strikes started a month ago, NATO bombers repeatedly have attacked
communications transmitters in provincial Yugoslavia, but they haven't yet hit some
key facilities in the Yugoslav capital of Belgrade. <P>
NATO attacked industrial and communications facilities over central and southern
Serbia on its 27th night of bombing raids on Yugoslavia, Serbian media said yesterday.
Yugoslavia's state news agency, Tanjug, reported the heaviest bombardments on Serbia's
third-largest city, Nis, in the south-east, where it said one person had been killed
and at least eight injured in overnight NATO attacks. <P>
It also reported new strikes on the Kosovo capital, Pristina, on Kragujevac, home of
the huge Zastava car plant destroyed in earlier attacks, and on communications and
transport links. Belgrade was also hit, after being spared during Sunday night's
attacks, the agency added.<P>
Tanjug said residential areas of Nis, as well as the northern industrial part of the
city, were targeted and the casualty figure was expected to rise. <P>
It quoted the head of the Nis medical centre, Dr Cedo Kutlesic, as saying eight people
from the area near Crveni Krst railway station had been admitted to hospital.<P>
