1) I would like to commend Michael Perelman for his effective management of this fractious net, especially through a difficult technical transition with apparently only minor scattered glitches. I think we all owe him more thanks and appreciation than he has been given. 2) I would like to reiterate and my request that those with long messages label the length at the front end. 3) I see no reason that "a thousand flowers (or weeds) cannot bloom on the net, as long as there is "truth in advertising".
