I'm a university student just starting to look into various schools of thought and at the moment I'm researching feminist thought and got referred here.

Anybody know any events, situations, etc. in the range of 10 - 75 years or so ago that ended or were handled badly in the hands of the mainstream and would have better been solved using the feminist economic school of thought?
Perhaps something related to the actions of an interational institution? Something else? Stuff with some shock value would be best.

Situations that are ongoing since that time are fine too.
Just make sure whatever you give me is researchable and not
TOO obscure. (Or you could simply give me a reference)

Thanks
Sean Walsh
