PEN-Ls,

This is a Presidential issue (both Bush and MSU). Peter McPherson (Prez. of Michigan State University) is the chair of the powerful external Department of Energy advisory committee. Yet he has thusfar not been pressured by Michigan citizens, nor the Michigan media to publicly call on Vice President Cheney to release secret pre-911 documents that environmental groups are suing -- in the U.S. Supreme Court -- to get released. The documents -- from the secret Energy Task force meetings in 2000/01 -- likely point to the Bush administration's plans to carve up Iraqi oil resources, pre-911. If that's what's there, the evidence would help in the movement to  censure or impeach President Bush. See the Move-On initiative at:

Supreme Court Justice Scalia's has issued an insulting rejoinder ("Quack, quack") when asked to recuse himself from the Cheney case (because he'd been duck hunting with the VP, among other reasons).

With over $200 million in his warchest to defeat Kerry, one shouldn't expect reason to triumph over emotion in the upcoming Presidential election. We're in post-Orwell times. . .as such, an impeachment probe is necessary in case the Bush Cheney faction wins re-election.

Some folks believe that all politics is local. . .if this issue could get some legs here in Michigan, it might help the national cause.
