I've seen it referred to as the SOTU address, but it's true that it wasn't
worth a SOU.

Thanks. I thought I was going to look stupid or not be understood if I used
the wrong abbreviation. Or is that while Europeans compete intellectually
with snobby literary allusions, Americans compete with short hand ways of
referring to things such as snappy abbreviations which will only be
understood by the quick witted who are familar with the subject??
