Elliott Sclar's "You Don't Always Get What You Pay For:the Economics of Privatization," is reviewed in yesterday's Times in the Business section, p. 7. The book is based partly on extensive research with unions trying to avoid privatization as well as with city officials. It is a good source of examples of the benefits of consulting workers about how to do their jobs. -- June Zaccone Economics (Emerita), Hofstra University National Jobs for All Coalition 475 Riverside Dr Ste 832 NY, NY 10115-0050 212-870-3449 http://www.njfac.org
