A 1998 lawsuit brought by activist Marc Kasky against Nike Inc has been settled with Nike paying $1.5 million to the Fair Labour Association, a workplace monitoring group. The lawsuit was in response to a 1996-97 Nike publicity campaign defending sweatshop allegations against its Asian factories.
