Summers Charts Course For a Global Harvard By Nicholas von Hoffman ... [Larry] Summers is the president of the richest and best-known brand name in American or, for that matter, world education. By the standards of the past, this energetic and decidedly clever man was an odd choice for the job.

FWIW, the head of the California State University system, I'm told, has a license plate on his car (a beemer, I'd guess) that reads CSU CEO. JD
