Hi Elizabeth, Aha, DBI 1.30 fixed it. I didn't realize that I had an outdated DBI and probably would never have thought to check that.

Check out the latest DBI from CPAN before you try again: I think many thread issues were solved recently. In any case, you're at the bleeding edge if you're using DBI with Perl threads, so things may not yet be as smooth as we are all used yet. Liz
