Thanks for posting about the problem. The server ppm.activestate.com had
a hardware problem early this morning (a bad power supply actually) but
is back in business as I type this. Please confirm that ppm is again
working fo you.

I just installed the new Perl and I got several modules (ppm) I need but
today it looks like Activestate's servers are not responding. Is there a
way to use the browser to test if the server is responding?? Ppm takes a
long time to timeout the operation on times like today.
