This might be what you are talking about. It is from a Sept. 2003 thread titled "Re: adding pages to ActivePerl HTML documentation tree". I thought it would eventually com in handy so I saved it. It has helped me several times. Hopefully it will work for you. Regenerate the TOC for perl docs:
