here is what I get when I use the set command to check the path:
C:\Perl\eg>set

COMSPEC=C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND.COM
DJGPP=C:\DJGPP\DJGPP.ENV
PATH=C:\DJGPP\BIN;C:\PROGRA~1\ULTRAEDT;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND;C:\PROGRA~1
