Hello, I am trying to install Win32::Daemon::Simple, which depends on Win32::Daemon and Win32::Console. I was able to build ppms myself from the CPAN distributions of Win32::Daemon and Win32::Daemon::Simple, but the problem is Win32::Console. It comes in a non-CPAN distribution zip file with an install.bat file, which when executed, gives me this:
Can't locate NT.ph in @INC (did you run h2ph?) (@INC contains: C:/Perl/lib C:/Perl/site/lib .) at install.bat line 8. I've tried to see what install.bat does to do it manually, but it modifies the registry and installs some files other than the pm file itself, so I don't want to risk it. I also noted that the install.bat checks Perl versions 5.001 and 5.003, and gives an error if it isn't one of those. So even if I had NT.ph, it wouldn't install. But I tried running the test.pl test suite, and it works... Does anyone know how to install it properly? If there were a ppm that updates ActivePerl's HTML docs as well, I would prefer that of course.
