imcc/docs/syntax.pod has the following: =item 'char constant' Are delimited by B'. They are taken to be Cascii encoded. No escape sequences are processed. But in fact B' behaves like B without escapes or encoding/charset prefixes: [EMAIL PROTECTED] cat
