I was trying to install the latest version of libwww-perl with my 5.8.0 installation of perl. Everytime I run make test I get the following error: can't located object method "new" in package "URI" at /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/HTTP/Response.pm. One of the prerequisites for libwww is the URI module. However I definately have this module installed and installed properly. I've been able to locate others who have had this problem as well, but noone was able to help them resolve the issue.
