Atau mungkin ada kesalahan di detik com? -------- July 16, 1999 Opposition Party Leads Tally in Indonesia By REUTERS JAKARTA, Indonesia -- The party of the populist opposition leader Megawati Sukarnoputri won the largest share of votes in the parliamentary elections on June 7 -- 33.7 percent -- complete unofficial figures show. The ruling Golkar party of President B. J. Habibie was in second place, with 22.4 percent. The results now must be verified by each of the 48 political parties and the General Election Commission, which is expected on Wednesday. But the National Election Committee, which is responsible for tallying the votes, said the official results were not expected to differ from the preliminary figures. Counting was finally completed Thursday, more than five weeks after polling day. The distribution of seats in Parliament will not be announced until the results have been verified. Though Ms. Megawati's party, Indonesian Democratic Party-Struggle, gained the most votes, it is expected to be well short of an overall majority. The presidency is to be decided in November by Parliament.
