Job Description:
The University of Arizona (South) is seeking fluent speakers and writers
of Indonesian
to assist in the development of teaching programs
in the Indonesian language. For further details, please visit our

www.hr.arizona.edu/  There are two positions open: the first is a
full time position for 18 months to 2 years; the second is a part time
position as a
language advisor for web page development. The
prospective employees should be bilingual in English and Indonesian,
and, ideally, have
teaching experience, a background in foreign
language teaching methodologies and/or second language acquisition
skills. Computer
and Web/Internet skills are very helpful.

 The full time position, depending on experience and educational
background, pays from
$31,000 to $35,000 per year and includes full
medical and dental insurance. The second position offers a competitive
salary.


This position is designed to lead, oversee and coordinate all of the
functions and
members of the development team. The Instructional Specialist
               Coordinator writes, develops and presents educational
activities for textbooks
and the distance learning project in accordance with contract
               specifications for the German and Indonesian languages
contract and
coordinates with web supervisor and developers. The position is required
to
               track project development and timely completion of
milestones as assigned by
Director. The position reports directly to the Director of the Foreign
               Language and Distance Learning Office.

               Duties and Responsibilities:

                     Supervises the activities of the team members.
                     Revises the base curriculum design of a two phase
instructional program
that applies the communicative approach, is task-based and
                     proficiency oriented.
                     Develops 10 modules of the textbook.
                     Develops an audio textbook.
                     Maintains responsibility for coordination of the
web development.
                     Maintains responsibility for test development.
                     Maintains responsibility for audio/video recording.

               Minimum Qualifications:

                     Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate foreign
language, social science,
military science or related field AND three years of instructional or
                     subject work experience; OR,
                     Seven years of progressively responsible
instructional or subject work
experience.
