The beetle appears to be a click beetle (Elateridae) but I have no idea of the species. Regarding the drain flies, I feel that there must be an undiscovered drain close by.

It's body shape looked suspicious to me, however upon further inspection it doesn't appear to be any of the major-concern wood beetles. It is 1/2" long. Any ideas much appreciated. Second, I've come across a swell in drain flies/moth flies in our sticky traps not anywhere near a drain or water source (to my knowledge). Any reason to be concerned?
