I was interested in the product and asked some colleagues if they have used
it.  After checking, I realized it is basically an insert that does not
seal the wood at the top.  So, as the previous individual indicated, it
will not prevent debris from resting in the cracks which could provide
harborage for fabric pests.  The Stop Gap site references using glue and
sawdust mixture but sounds a bit messy and potential labor intensive to
me!
