Hello!
To me it looks like it comes from the Bucculatricidae family of Ribbed
Cocoon-maker Moths, common in North America. Larvae start as leaf-miners and
develop into leaf skeletonizers for specific plants. It probably hitched a ride
inside.

Best wishes,
Stephanie

Subject: [PestList] small moth ID help

Hello everyone,

My colleagues found this moth in one of our spaces. We are in Cambridge,
Massachusetts. The blue dot is from the tip of a marker, so this little moth is
about 3-6 mm in length.

We have eliminated the common museum moths, and I think it is from outside and
someone whose larva eat plants, but any ID would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
Genevieve
