Large roaches love mulch and mulch like substances low to the ground. if you can get under the mulch layer to the bottom and place Niban granules and a fine layer of the proper sized (microns)silica gel dust I think you will see great results. As long as the collection insects are in cages this

Hi Jef We've used cockroach baits like Maxforce cockroach bait in areas where there are live animals. You could also use the baited cockroach traps if you want to avoid using gels/baits, as these contain an aggregation pheromone and are excellent for monitoring/trapping cockroaches. Best wishes Ale
